Rockford Wines
When Robert O’Callaghan established Rockford in 1971, he was driven by a personal passion for traditional wine making and the philosophy that wine has to be crafted, not created. Trained in wine making by his grandparents, Robert’s childhood was spent on the vineyards of North Eastern Victoria. The skill, says Robert, is to capture and enhance the fleeting flavours that grapes give from their variety and extract from the earth, then bottle these as a living record of the vintage they represent.
